How we track stock
Full transparency on our method: where the data comes from, how often, and why you can trust it.
Public sources, retailer by retailer
We only query availability signals published by retailers: product pages, store-locator APIs and online catalogs. Each retailer has a dedicated module — we never invent stock.
Continuous checks
Monitored retailers are re-checked at regular intervals, with a polite rate limit for their servers. During heatwaves, availability changes hour by hour — that’s where automated tracking makes the difference.
Timestamps and transparency
Every store shows the time of its last check. You always know how fresh a data point is, and you can click straight through to the retailer to verify.
Why alerts are paid
The stock dashboard is free. Email alerts (one-time payment, no subscription) fund the monitoring infrastructure and prevent spam: only people who genuinely care set an alert.
